riverside camping and glamping
Why we think the Coolendel camping ground is the best river side camping site in NSW
Location
Surrounded by the Morton National Park and located in the heart of 130 acres of idyllic bushland, Coolendel riverside camping is one of the most geographically beautiful places in the world. And it’s most certainly NSW’s premier bush camp south of Sydney.
Accessibility
It’s an easy three hour drive from Sydney and about 30kms west of Nowra.
Activities
As Coolendel riverside camping sits on 2.5km of absolute river frontage along the banks of the Shoalhaven River, water activities are a highlight of any visit.
Just a few of the fun activities on offer are:
canoeing
swimming
mountain biking
fishing
bushwalking
kayaking
stand up paddle boarding
rock climbing/abseiling
gold prospecting
bird and animal watching
and many more
We have canoes and related equipment for hire but you can also bring your own kayaks, stand up paddle boards and canoes.
Secluded camping and glamping areas
We have tents in groups for fun friendly gatherings. We also offer more secluded tents for those wanting a more intimate and private getaway.
Want a bush experience but not so keen on tents? Coolendel camping and bush camps offer other accommodation such as cabins or the bunkhouse for larger groups or groups of schoolkids.
Sustainable, eco-friendly riverside camping in NSW
We’re proud to say, when you stay at Coolendel, you’re not having a negative impact on the environment. All the power and water supplied is generated at our Coolendel site.
